HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Yesterday  Robert and I headed out early in search of the perfect Mother's Day present.
We decided to start at Bogg's in Prattville.
We found just what we were looking for and on the way home
stopped by a nursey just down the street.

I loaded up the car!!!

Lots of Great Plants!

Blackberry Bush

Passion Vine

Look what came along with the Passion Vine, my first caterpillar of the season,
a Gulf Fritillary.
As you can see, it's already in it's new home.
I'll be sure to share when it becomes a butterfly!
(I'm so excited, it made my day!!)

Lots of Planters!

We were really looking for something to use as a planter under the bird bath.

The BOSS, checking it all out!
Otherwise, taking it easy!

The finished products, just what we wanted!

Thanks to my sweet Husband for a Great Mothers Day!

OH!
I don't want to forget to that thank THE DOG for her gift also!

Thanks Hershey - BAD DOG!!!

DEWBERRIES or BLACKBERRIES

WHATEVER! They're all GOOD!

SIMPLE BLACKBERRY COBBLER

5 Cups fresh Blackberries ( I probably had more)
1 Cup all-purpose Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg, beaten ( don't think I beat mine)
1/2 Cup ( 1 stick) Butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon ground Cinnamon

Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spread the Blackberries in a 2 qt. baking dish.
Combine the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt, and mix well.
Stir in the Egg and crumble the mixture over the berries.
Drizzle the Butter over the berries and sprinkle with Cinnamon.
Bake for 45 minutes.

Serve warm with Vanilla Ice Cream.

YUM!!

Any berries will work, we found this site with lots of recipes while Googling Dewberries,
I want to try them all, if our crop at the beach keeps up, we just might get to!!

ENJOY!!

Innerarity Clean-up

Now that tax season is over, we were able to take off for a few days and
head to the beach for a little rest and lots of Spring cleaning, inside and out!

Beach clean-up !! YUCK!!

We lost the dog for a few hours and had to take timeout to hunt for her!

The Orkin man was Hershery's HERO!
He found her trapped between the screen door and main door on the porch.
I had shut her inside the door after a workman arrived!
She was in her own little Twilight Zone, not inside or outside.

No picture, no more TRAMA!

FREE AT LAST!

Look what we found while searching for Hershey

Lots and Lots of Blackberries!

Robert picking them!!

We ended up with 3 bowls!!
Cobbler recipe to follow in my next blog so be sure to come back, it's GOOD!

Until them, check out some of our favorite places!

French Market Totes

The other day a strange box was delivered by UPS.

I really don't think it's coffee but I do like the way they recycle.
I ship the same way, you should see my attic!
Now to see what's inside!

Finally, the French Market Totes and Woven Jute Bags,
that I ordered at the January Market have come in!!!

The French Market Tote

Woven Jute Bags

I only ordered a few and it took months for them to come in,
so if you want one please let me know quickly, they won't last long.
You can e-mail me to reserve one.
